Diesel says rumors aren't true...
UPDATE: Looks like the rumors that Vin Diesel had backed out of xXx: The Return of Xander Cage were untrue, as the actor told MTV today that he will definitely be starring in the film.
ORIGINAL: It looks like Vin Diesel is the latest to back out of xXx: The Return of Xander Cage. Director Rob Cohen apparently has also quit the film and now little-known moviemaker Ericson Core will direct. No word on why Diesel suddenly backed out.
Diesel started in the first xXx film but did not return for the sequel.
So I guess it will be xXx: The Return of Darius Stone.

i think Vin D. & Ice Cube realize that they make more money doing kid films. I hope The Rock stays away from this silly franchise,

This is the best news I've heard all day. Not because I necessarily have a problem with Vin, but wasn't his character classified as being dead in the 2nd movie? If I can recall they even showed his body.
At the end of the 2nd one, doesn't Sam L say that they're going off the grid for the next XXX? Now I don't know about anyone else, but to me that mean't they were going for a female this time which I personally think would be an excellent idea.

I'm not sure what everyone who's posting comments is talking about. The story clearly says that the ORIGINAL story was that he'd backed out .. but the UPDATE .. (for those unclear, "Update" means there is new information that came out after the "Original") says he'd definitely starring.
Which means Vin WILL be in the movie.
